Jessica Forde was born in London and is based in Paris.
She’s lived many lives and has been working as a professional stills photographer in the movies for close to 10 years.
She has a passionate love affair with telling stories and her own staged photographs have a cinematic feel.
She carefully constructs her images around the everyday life and it’s aesthetic, intimately yet with restraint.
Building up her characters, the settings, the costumes, the light and colors.
Each picture is a story within a story, as if each picture was a scene of a film, as if each series were a movie.
Her photographic works mainly focus on our self-image and the vision of ourselves we project to others.

Photographe de plateau pour le cinéma depuis près de 10 ans, de son travail personnel se dégage une impression cinématographique.
Avec précision, elle construit ses images autour de la vie quotidienne et son esthétique, intimement et pourtant avec retenue.
Chaque image est une histoire dans une histoire, comme si chaque image était une scène et chaque série photographique un film.
Son travail est principalement axé sur l’image que nous avons de nous-mêmes, et celle que nous voulons projeter aux autres.
